Ball field Users Meeting

Ball field users meeting: April 9, 7 pm a the Administration Centre, Conference Room.

For teams, groups, individuals wishing to use:

  • Sherose Island ball field
  • Barrington ball field
  • Woods Harbour ball field
  • South Side ball field

Please call the Barrington Recreation Department for more information, 637-2903.

March Break Events

Sledge – Try it sessions:

Do you want to try something new – come out and try using a sledge! It’s for all ages. Just call the recreation department 637-2903 to sign up. Times: March 17 & 18 at 1 pm to 2 pm; and March 19 at 12 noon to 1 pm. – You must preregister for this by calling the Recreation Department 902-637-2903

 Snowshoeing:

Come out and try snowshoeing on Wednesday March 18th at 11am. There will be hot chocolate and snacks too! We have some pairs of both kids and adult snowshoes available; please call Samantha at 902-637-2903 to make sure a pair is reserved for you. We will be snowshoeing around the nature trail on Sherose Island.

Meet by the Nature Trail sign in the Arena parking lot at 11am on March 18th.

Public Skating:

Monday to Wednesday – 2 pm to 4 pm; Thursday, 2:30 to 4 pm.

No public skating on Friday due to the NHL Legends Game.

Pick up hockey:

Midget age and older on Monday, March 16, 4 to 5:30 pm.

Day Camp:

Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

$15 per day per child ($12 each if registering more than one child)

or

$60 for the week ($50 each if registering more than one child)

Curling:

Free learn to curl sessions March 14th, 17th, 18th, 19th, and 21st at 10:00am – all the gear is provided.

After the Bell – Outdoor Program for Girls

Who: Females in Grades 7, 8, & 9

When: Tuesdays, starting March 10th and ending May 26th

Where: Meet in the BMHS Lobby, transportation to hiking spots will be provided. (Pick up at the end of the program will be at BMHS)

Time: 3:45pm—5:00pm

Learn about basic survival, outdoor cooking, plant ID and pressing, animal tracks and more.

To register pick up a form from the main office at BMHS or call the Recreation Department at 902-637-2903
